The Requirement

Plymouth Marjon University were looking for support to create high-quality video content for their SLT for Schools online training toolkit. SLT for Schools represents a desperately needed resource for primary school teachers and learning support teams looking for basic tools needed to help support students with speech language and communication difficulties.

The Solution

To streamline budget and maximise production values on screen, Rocking Horse utilised a bespoke remote filming approach to capture spoken content. We built a remote studio on campus for contributors to attend and our team could connect virtually for short scheduled sessions, to direct subject matter experts and capture their performance in 4k. This saved on crew costs and allowed for increased budget allocation to the production of highly engaging graphics and video to enhance the learning content.

Impact and Benefits

The feedback from both the direct client and the end users of the resource has been highly complementary, with many expressing just how valuable the content is and how engaging the videos are. Over 1000 teachers signed up in the first two months and the audience continues to grow. Demand for follow up SLT content remains high.
